F.A.Q.

1. Where am I going?
My ticket is booked for San Diego - Jakarta - Bangkok - Bombay - Tel Aviv - Madrid - Prague - Lima - San Diego. I’m planning to go overland from Bangkok to Bombay via SouthEast Asia, China, Tibet, and Nepal. I also plan to visit Jordan and Egypt from Israel. I can also visit more countries in Europe and South America if I have the time and desire.
2. How long are you going for?
My ticket is good for one year, and there are a lot of places to visit, so I’m going to take advantage of it!
3. Why are you going?
Lots of reasons… for personal development, spiritual journeying, to see the world, to learn about other cultures, and because I want to!
4. What kind of airline ticket did you get?
I booked a round the world ticket on Star Alliance. The routing is fixed but the dates can be changed any time. It cost $5500.
5. What are you going to do when you get back?
I don’t really know. But I’m sure it will be something different than what I was doing before.
6. What are you taking?
- Medium size travelpack (Eagle Creek Continental Journey)
- Softshell jacket
- Digital camera, charger
- 3-4 days of clothes
- Tao Te Ching by Lao Tsu
- journal
- knife
- bathroom stuff
- silk travelsheet
- small locks
- money!

I am looking forward to seeing your posts from afar. Enjoy yourself and good luck.

Dear Steve, where are you now? It is with impatience everyday that I expect to have some news from you. So far, you are (already) slaking on the travel log part…
Do not make us believe that there are no Internet cafes in Indonesia. Should I ask your cousin Reny for some news from you?

Slacker,
Etienne and Lenaig pointed us to your weblog.
Stop partying, drinking, and smoking; instead come back to work — Qualcomm needs you.
What is there for you to discover anyhow? Nowadays everything can be found on the web, from the comfort of one’s couch.
Take care,
-Stein

Hey Steve I started to fix your mythical surfboard. It has more holes than a swiss cheese!
Enjoy the best year of your life - so far
Comment by Arnaud — August 22, 2005 @ 3:43 pm
Arnaud, leave it to a swiss guy to work the cheese angle. I knew I could rely on you!
Stein, you speak words of wisdom, the more one travels the less one knows. But I don’t think Qualcomm needs me, I’m not buying that one.
Sorry for the lack of xrated pics, for that you’ll have to check my other blog. www.projectboobsearch.xxx

Hi Steve,
I miss you. Since you left, this guy has been taking me out in the water all the time. He says he likes me because I float well in summer waves. But I hate when this guy rides my back. This guy has stinky feet.
Steve your feet are much more gentle and smell like rose. Also you take me into much bigger waves and go for a longer ride, giving me time to enjoy myself in your company.
